The #1 Reason Elon Is Voting Republican

Elon Musk has been acting strange lately.
And as it turns out, his actions are signaling a shift in the political winds…
A shift that could have a big impact on your investment portfolio.
Here’s what you need to know.

The #1 Reason Elon Is Voting Republican
I don’t always pay attention to what Elon Musk is up to.
But his recent actions signal a major shift that’s happening.
And the fact is, my stock portfolio — and yours — is about to look a whole lot different.
Let me explain.
Musk Needs Washington
To set the stage here, it’s important to note that Musk owes a lot of his wealth to the Democratic Party.
During the Obama administration, federal subsidies called carbon tax credits helped Tesla succeed — and they keep helping Tesla succeed. Last year, for example, Tesla earned more than two billion dollars in profit from these credits. That’s about one-third of Tesla’s total profits!
And the fact is, when a big chunk of your profits depends on the government, you’re going to play nice with whoever’s running things in Washington.
Which brings us to what’s happening now…
Musk Switching Parties?
Lately, Musk has shifted from the Democrats to the Republicans.
For instance, he moved Tesla’s headquarters from California (largely Democratic) to Texas (largely Republican). And back in May, he tweeted this:
“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”
What’s going on here?
He Sees the Writing on the Wall
Musk sees a Republican political takeover on the horizon.
And now he’s trying to get ahead of the curve.
You see, Trump still has enormous power. He’s still the face of the Republican Party. And he’s still effective at getting candidates elected to office. (In a recent Wisconsin election, for example, he endorsed one candidate, while former VP Pence endorsed another. Trump’s candidate won.)
Democrats are aware of Trump’s power, too. That’s why they’re so focused on making sure he doesn’t run for office again in 2024.
That’s the reason for the recent FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago — the Dems want to convict him for treason. That’s the only way they believe they can prevent him from running.
A Sweep in Two Stages
So the Republicans are expected to sweep Congress in the coming elections.
But in the meantime, neither party will be able to pass a bill. It’ll be gridlock.
Wall Street loves gridlock. The stock market thrives on predictability and stability.
As a result, expect to see the market pop by about 5% this fall.
3 Sectors to Watch
More specifically, keep an eye on three industries:
Energy: Republicans love oil drilling and coal.
Healthcare: Democrats love spending on healthcare. Republicans? Not so much.
Defense: This is where Republicans love to spend, so expect this sector to climb even higher.
Bottom line: Musk’s latest move signals a forthcoming power shift in Washington…
A shift that’ll impact where you should be investing.
